You\u2019ll find the answer in the descriptions of the individual stages that define this method of maintaining order in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-17160e26-0496-4a17-812e-54d117b046a3\">Becoming interested in and adopting the 5S System at Axell Group was a natural step for us. According to management theory, this method helps organize processes both in the office and in production (including logistics). Since our organization has as many offices as it does warehouses and docks, it made sense to introduce a framework that would work in both areas.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-7f508aef-319f-415b-a698-7af6a91d1dd0\">To clarify fully and show you what we\u2019re doing\u2014below we describe each of the five \u201cS\u2019s\u201d along with the actions, procedures, and goals behind them.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-f07bc1b1-89bf-418d-adc0-9f7547ba23e4\">S \u2013 Sorting (Japanese: Seiri)<\/h2>\n<p id=\"block-ff0b9a9f-0a2c-4f65-bbb1-75ff1c1f05d6\">Anyone who\u2019s dealt with HR, accounting, or logistics reporting knows how important it is to keep documents in order. That\u2019s why introducing clear, universal, and strict sorting procedures was crucial for us.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-02fab2b7-db9b-4326-8fbf-11e4f55451aa\">In particular, organizing materials, documents, invoices, and other important agreements was essential for both Axell Financial Services and Axell Logistics. That\u2019s why now, all information entering our organization is properly sorted, stored, and routed to the correct departments.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-e7501b67-3635-4937-aa39-b458e30327d2\">S \u2013 Systematic Arrangement (Japanese: Seiton)<\/h2>\n<p id=\"block-6364105a-c10c-4f5c-9765-ce1d93f203d3\">The next element of the 5S System at Axell Group is systematic work. This means not only improving the current state but also maintaining it carefully. The importance of this element lies in the fact that it\u2019s very easy to lose sight of the original intent if it isn\u2019t regularly reviewed and adjusted.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-09c522e1-171d-4469-81e7-fba56217736b\">That\u2019s why, from day one of implementing the 5S System at Axell Group, it was clear that audits would be unavoidable. Although regular quality and order checks have been part of our organization for many years, only recently have our employees had to pay attention to a wider range of aspects that are part of 5S.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-5a975926-f806-47a4-a1b3-5442569afeda\">S \u2013 Shining \/ Cleaning (Japanese: Seiso)<\/h2>\n<p id=\"block-ebf0ad74-ada9-4209-853e-fa8b2aeeb836\">You can\u2019t maintain organizational order without having a clean workspace! That\u2019s why, since we introduced the 5S System at Axell Group, the participating locations have become role models when it comes to cleanliness.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-50c3cdc3-50b3-4fc9-9bb4-84d2012d69bf\">What\u2019s more, this emphasis on keeping things clean has been very positively received by all employees. Even though it requires a bit more daily effort from them, everyone understands and accepts that it\u2019s done for the common good.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-12d9132d-f044-4dab-bc28-57ea970de9d9\">S \u2013 Standardization (Japanese: Seiketsu)<\/h2>\n<p id=\"block-ada6d9f7-2178-4dcf-b485-f48a0e2c92dc\">Chcemy, aby ka\u017cde nasze biuro i magazyn by\u0142 dopasowany do potrzeb naszych Klient\u00f3w. That\u2019s why we constantly educate and encourage our employees to maintain proper work standards. Thanks to this, we can be sure that the changes we\u2019re making today will last for years to come. And as a result\u2014help us meet our clients\u2019 needs at the highest possible level.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-e7b4e653-665c-433a-8e72-383bdf48ba3c\">Of course, self-discipline also affects the work of individual departments. Even now, we\u2019re seeing that the right motivation, changes to the work environment, and steady progress in organizational habits are delivering the first results!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-985777d6-36a6-4228-af4e-4e6a4b86f5fb\">The 5S System at Axell Group!<\/h2>\n<p id=\"block-e25a22d5-207b-4984-b4f1-26d5830f53e2\">Implementing a new system is always a long journey. That\u2019s why we celebrate every success, even the smallest change that brings us closer to our goal. We firmly believe that by developing our people, we\u2019ll develop the entire company. And that, in turn, will help us respond even better to our clients\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-60d2eb9f-225d-41b8-9f33-edc49b6cab53\">Today, as practitioners we can recommend this approach to anyone reading this article.
