We are impressed by the attitude of our Clients and employees in times of crisis.
In recent weeks, we have all been shocked by the events in Ukraine. As a Dutch-Polish family business, we feel a strong connection with the people of Ukraine, many of whom have fled to Poland.
That is why our teams in the Netherlands and Poland immediately took the initiative to organize a humanitarian aid drive.
Support from the Netherlands

Axell Logistics Netherlands organized an internal fundraising campaign.
In Etten-Leur and Diessen, they managed to collect over 28 pallets of humanitarian aid.
Together with our Polish branches, we collected a total of 37 pallets of humanitarian goods.
They also reached out to their Clients, asking for donations of supplies and/or financial contributions—offering full logistical support.
In cooperation with Loendersloot and Rida Trading, they delivered the first donation to the JCI Netherlands foundation. They filled three of their own trucks with hygiene products and delivered them to the JCI center.
The first load of pallets was transported by Helvoirt Charter. The remaining pallets were shipped to Poland.
Local Dutch companies also got involved in the collection effort. One of them—based in Hilvarenbeek—donated over 300 winter coats with hoods!

Dutch Clients also participated in the drive. For example, the children’s footwear brand from New Zealand, Bobux, donated 50 pairs of children’s shoes. The pet food producer ZIWIPets provided two pallets of dog food, and Gargo Hats (volunteers from a dog shelter) donated 4 pallets of blankets.
Additionally, our Client Smurfit Kappa—who we have worked with for over 50 years—donated two pallets of cardboard. This was a huge help for packing and transporting goods.
Collection in Poland
The collection of goods in Poland has also been completed!
Shortly after the war in Ukraine began, we launched a collection campaign at each of our locations.
We provided lists of the most urgently needed items, supplied by foundations supporting refugees.

This ensured that we delivered exactly what was needed most!
Thanks to this, we collected 4 pallets of products that will truly help those in need at the border and in Ukraine.
Additionally, as part of our support for employees, we launched a free psychotherapy support program. Anyone who felt the need could take advantage of this initiative.
Financial support
We gave our employees the opportunity to donate goods or contribute financially. As an organization—and to further support the effort—we matched the amount they collected!
In total, we managed to raise €4,230!
Axell Group wholeheartedly supports all initiatives and is working hard to deliver both humanitarian and financial aid to Ukraine.
We stand with you!
