Today, we were alarmed by a fire in our building at Hermelijnweg 20 in Etten-Leur.
First and foremost, we are extremely grateful to report that there were no personal injuries. Everyone present in the adjacent buildings, as well as in the Axell building itself, was evacuated in time.
Thanks to the tremendous efforts of the fire brigades from the Midden- en West-Brabant Safety Region, we can now report that the fire has been brought under control. We are very relieved that the surrounding buildings have been largely spared. Firefighting and clean-up operations will continue late into today and tomorrow.
We are deeply shocked and saddened by the extent of the destruction, but as a close-knit family business, we are confident that, together with our employees, we will roll up our sleeves and rebuild as quickly as possible.
