As an international organization, we cannot be blind to the situation in the world. Therefore, we have not forgotten the ongoing war in Ukraine. This includes sending aid to those in need.
Helping Ukraine in 2022
More than a year ago, we were shocked by the war in Ukraine. From a human perspective – but also because many of our colleagues, business partners and customers have ties to Ukraine – we could not sit still and watch. Therefore, we did our best to support the refugees, locals and soldiers as best we could. Last year, we sent huge amounts of food, supplies, clothing and other items to Ukraine. But it didn’t stop there.
Even in 2023, our aid to Ukraine has not stopped
Recently Axell Group (NL and PL) decided to purchase an electricity generator and donate it to the communities that need it most, in our case a local hospital. Since electricity is a must for survival (especially in winter), our gesture was very much appreciated by the recipients.
The cost of the generator was shared equally between Poland and the Netherlands, and the whole project was again led by Marzena Wach, Facility Manager at Axell Logistics in Poland.
Words of thanks from Ukraine
As Axell Group, we received a document describing the gratitude and emphasizing the importance of our action. In addition, we received a short video of soldiers thanking us personally.
Let’s remember, that war is not yet over!
