General Transport Conditions 2025
Parts of Axel Logistics are the following companies:
- Axell Transport B.V.

Conditions
The services provided will be subject to:
- For National transport the AVC conditions, latest version;

Our rates are based on our General Services, as mentioned in this document. Deviating Services and Fees for BeNeLux (Belgium–the Netherlands–Luxembourg) and International Forwarding are also mentioned in this document.
For standard rate calculation we use:
1 loading meter = 1.650 kg (max.)
1 euro pallet = 120 x 80 x 220 = 0,4 ldm = 660 kg
1 block pallet = 120 x 100 x 220 = 0,5 ldm = 825 kg
The highest paying weight of loading meter or actual weight will be calculated.

FUEL COST ADJUSTMENT FACTOR
How sustainable is groupage transport?
By combining shipments, trucks are filled more efficiently, which reduces CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption. This helps to lower the ecological footprint and minimizes empty mileage. Groupage transport thus contributes to more sustainable and efficient freight movement.
What are the advantages compared to full truckload transport?
Groupage lowers costs because companies only pay for the space they actually use. It enables more efficient transport by reducing empty trips and offering more flexible deliveries. It also reduces storage needs, leading to faster and more cost-effective distribution.
Which companies benefit from groupage transport?
Groupage is ideal for companies that regularly ship smaller loads – such as retailers, e-commerce sellers, and industrial suppliers. It offers a cost-efficient and flexible solution when a full truckload isn’t necessary.
What Is the Difference Compared to Traditional Warehouse Management?
In traditional warehouse management, goods are received, temporarily stored, and then picked and shipped. With cross docking, storage is minimal or even unnecessary. Products are transferred directly from incoming to outgoing transport. This shortens order processing times, lowers storage costs, and speeds up the flow of goods.
Is Cross Docking Suitable for My Industry?
Cross docking is particularly beneficial for companies with high inventory turnover, short delivery times, and just-in-time logistics. If your industry relies on fast distribution and a well-coordinated supply chain, this model can significantly increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Does Cross Docking Contribute to Sustainable Transport?
Cross docking contributes to more sustainable transport by improving the overall efficiency of the supply chain. By reducing the need for long-term storage, the number of transport movements to and from warehouses can be limited, potentially saving fuel. Additionally, better-coordinated goods flow allows for more efficient route planning, which can lead to lower CO₂ emissions. However, it is important to emphasize that the sustainability benefits of cross docking depend on the specific logistics setup and transport structure of each company.
Which Companies Are Suitable for Cross Docking?
Cross docking is ideal for retailers, logistics service providers, manufacturing companies, and suppliers of perishable goods. Companies with fast turnaround times and well-organized supply chains benefit the most.
